ANTHRAX and DEATH ANGEL performing for Pulp Summer Slam 11: Resurrection

I know that this news is a 3 months old but not all got the news that two thrash metal legends Anthrax and Death Angel will be coming in Manila on April 30, 2011 at the Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City to perform for the Pulp Summer Slam 11: Resurrection. Also joining in with them are the metal supergroup Hellyeah featuring members of Pantera, Mudvayne and Nothingface.

What makes event a much more special is that most of the members of Death Angel are of Filipino-American descent and it would be nice for them to perform in-front of fellow Filipino metalheads.

Time of Grace: an Adam Dutkiewicz and Jesse Leach project

Times of Grace is an American metalcore duo, formed in 2008 by Adam Dutkiewicz(Killswitch Engage - vocals, guitars, bass and drums) and lead vocalist Jesse Leach(The Empire Shall Fall, formerly of Killswitch Engage and Seemless).

The duo just released their debut album title "Hymnn of a Broken Man" to which I fortunate to purchase the songs via Amazon.

To be honest the songs are not far off from the Killswitch Engage sound (well Jesse was KsE's former vocalist). What makes this record so special is that Adam D. is also singing (aside from screaming) on most of the songs in this album. The songs are more emotional and speaks volume of Adam D.'s musical ingenuity.

Rest In Peace Ronnie James Dio

Today the metal world mourns the death of the it's greatest icons as Ronnie James Dio passed away on May 16, 2010 after six months battle with stomach cancer. He performed with Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell, and his own band Dio.

The official statement from RJD's website
"Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May.
Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes
before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he
was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have
all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this
terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever."

We will miss you RJD may you rest in peace \m/
